Cost of Living in the Japan
Self-Finance International students must show a savings balance certificate and income proof demonstrating sufficient funds — generally around ¥2,000,000 (approx. $13,000) — to cover one year of tuition and living expenses for their Certificate of Eligibility (CoE). This amount increases if accompanied by a partner or dependents.

Japan Student Visa Requirements
The College Student Visa (留学, “Ryugaku”) lets international students live and study in Japan while completing a full-time course at a school certified to accept international students, with permission to work part-time up to 28 hours per week. The requirements for the student visa are as below:
